Why is a logo important?
As a blog or biz owner, your brand image is…as they say…not everything, it’s the only thing.
Think about brands you love.
The love affair with this logo extends well beyond product, all the way into the lifestyle zone. Customers willingly plaster it on cars, tshirts and notebooks.
Do you know what company this logo belongs to? Of course you do!
A logo creates brand recognition using the same font, or the same image. Everytime.
What if you don’t have one?
What if Superman’s “S” was written in a
different font
on each costume, cape…and I don’t know…business card??
What would you say?
Is this “S” for Superman? Is he the one that leaps tall buildings in a single bound?
Or is it Spiderman? Scary-man, Slim-man, Soup-man?
~
But if you aren’t yet a superhero, the principles still apply…
Lots of people have the same or similar name…
“I love that painting, which ‘Ava’s Art’ is it from?”
“Oh the one with the pink door, got it…”
~
Logos build trust through brand recognition.

Thanks Jen!
I was just thinking about how many fonts I use this afternoon, and how I really should just choose one and carry it throughout my site etc. I know I’ll be reading your 31 Days!
Thanks Bethany!!
I’m new to the blogging world so I will definitely be following this along!
I love this. I hope you’re going to cover advertising/sponsors I need help in that area…kinda stuck. It’s time for me to get some and I’m not sure what to do. Thanks!! Come check out my 31 Days series and a Motivate Me Monday guest post.

Hopping over from The Nester. Such a great series topic. I have been blogging for awhile but just really now getting things together. Can’t wait to follow along!
Very interesting!!!
Sounds like a very helpful series! I’ll be following along :)
I LOVE this series! I am doing something similar – 31 days dedicated to my crafting business. I believe I have a lot to learn from you (hopefully!) and I am getting your email updates!
I have a degree in ART – I KNOW all this!
So WHY is it so HARD to come up with my own logos/brands?
It’s easy to whip something up for someone else. Gaaaaa.
You have my attention this month…I’m hoping to find that one little spark to make the lights come on. :D
Thanks Joy! I’m sure you have a few things to teach me!!:)
I do find working for myself is the most difficult!! I paid to have my Christmas Card designed last year because I just couldn’t do it!
Thanks for following along:) I hope you get your spark! Let me know!
Christine
Great topic, I look forward to following along! I could use this, my husband has been trying to corner me into talking about it for a few weeks and I’ve been avoiding it :)
Love your graphics and your blog design! Gonna follow your 31 days. Do you design wordpress blogs? i’m gonna need to move over from blogger soon. Thanks!
Hey thanks Michele! I do design for WordPress and can help move your blog over also! I would love to chat anytime:)

I subscribed to an email update to keep up with this series. Good luck and thanks for being willing to teach others!
This is wonderful! I’m following you now from ‘To A Pretty Life’, she has your blog on her side panel. This is really intriguing to me, and I’m looking forward to the whole series!
Thank you
Debbie :)
