Hey again friends! Sharing a special need today...another close-to-my-heart adoption story. What a blessing to get to know so many sisters-in-Christ through my adoption program. Maria and her sweet family have been matched with a baby girl due in May {whoa that's soon!} but need to raise more money due to the cost of a failed recent placement. Can you help? Hello friends!It's dark and rainy here, but I'm trying to enjoy the last anticipation of warm weather. It's supposed to be 80 next week, I'm very thankful! Not sure if you know this or not, but about a year ago (2011) we welcomed Levi into our family. We are privileged to be his parents, not biologically, but through adoption. We are convinced through God's Word that caring for orphans is not a charity case or something for those that can't have their "own" kids, but something that we as Christians are called to and a picture of what we have been given. We have been adopted as brothers of Christ (Romans 8), we receive the inheritance as sons of God. I would like to introduce you to an amazing ministry I found recently. Gobena coffee was created after a 2007 trip to Africa by Steve and Danae Lehman. Their daughter Eva was found by a 71-year-old man, Gobena, in a yard near his home, and was cared for by he and his wife before giving her up for adoption. You can read more about their amazing journey here. After returning, they created Gobena Coffee to raise support for orphans. Currently they work in Ethopia, and God is using their ministry to accomplish some amazing things and bring glory to His name . Good Morning Friends! It's freezing here...FREEZING! Polly is under several blanks and refuses to move, even for food...this is gigantic. Thanks to those of you who have prayed for us and sent us sweet comments about our adoption falling through, they have meant a lot to us.
