    Are you familiar with Ikat?

It seems to be on EVERY single website I visit these days.  Home and clothing designers are really embracing this ethnic art.

Ikat is a weaving process where the warp and weft threads are resist dyed before being woven together.  It is a process still used today in countries throughout the world.  Wanna own some Ikat of your very own? Get inspiration here…

A fab clutch from Lisaspugnolo on Etsy

Love this lampshade from Anthropologie…of course.

    Ikat curtains from West Elm

Love this Etsy store! Pillow from Yiayia’s

Loads of Ikat dishes at Target.

Keep your eyes peeled! I bet you can snatch some up at a great deal:)

I learned to love Ikat during my Calico days… thanks for the comment on the blog background – it is relatively new. I love your new blog layout and how it constantly changes – I feel like I am watching your creative process. One day I will get you to design a blog for me that is as cool as yours :)

  2. Cool, cool, cool! I think Secrets from a Stylist was showing Ikat rugs on TV last night. ;)
I adore those curtains. Totally up my alley with the neutral color and fun pattern……but not toooooo crazy.

  3. It was something of great pleasure finding your site a short while ago. I came up here today hoping to come across interesting things. I was not dissatisfied. Your ideas with new methods on this thing were useful and a great help to me personally. Thank you for creating time to write out these things along with sharing your opinions.
